M.Sc. David Kočović is the head of the Laboratory at the Institute for Medicines and Medical Devices of Montenegro (CInMED).

He was born in Bar and he completed elementary and high school in Podgorica. He graduated from the Faculty of Food Technology, Food Safety and Ecology of the University of Donja Gorica in 2019 where he completed master studies in 2020. He is currently a PhD student at the Faculty of Metallurgy and Technology of the University of Montenegro.

He has been holding the position of the head of the Laboratory since March 2022 and started working at the Institute in 2020 as an expert associate for instrumental methods and equipment qualification. He gained previous work experience at the Center for Ecotoxicological Research and the Institute for Public Health.

He is a national focal point for substandard and falsified medicines and a chairman of the Detection Technologies Working Group within the WHO. He is a member of the Committee of Experts on Minimising Public Health Risks Posed by Falsification of Medical Products and Similar Crimes within EDQM.

He is fluent in English and has a basic knowledge in Italian language.
