PharmD. Berina Ljuca is the head of the Department for Variations within the Centre for Medicines Authorization at the Institute for Medicines and Medical Devices of Montenegro(CInMED).

She was born in Bijelo Polje where she completed elementary and high school. She graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Montenegro in 2013, where she worked for 7 years as an expert associate for the subject Clinical Pharmacy. Due to an exceptional success during her studies, she won the “December Award” (Student award of the Capital City of Podgorica) for 2012. In the mentioned year, she was also appointed as the president of the “Association of Students of Pharmacy” of the University of Montenegro. She is currently a PhD student at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Montenegro.

She has been on the position of head of the Department for Variations since October 2021 and started working at the Institute in 2014 as an expert associate for the issuance of marketing authorization for medicines. Previous experience she gained working as a master of pharmacy at the Montenegro Pharmacies “Montefarm”.

She is fluent in English and Russian and has a basic knowledge of German and Spanish language.

She is married and has two children.
