MD, MSc, PhD, spec. Snežana Mugoša has been a Managing Director of the Institute for Medicines and Medical Devices since February 2022. She was appointed in a public competition for a five-year period.

 

She was born in Nikšić where she completed elementary and high school where she graduated as the valedictorian. She graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in Podgorica in 2004 with the highest average grade in her generation (9,69).

 

She passed her specialist exam in the area of internal medicine in 2011 with an “excellent” grade at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Belgrade and defended her master’s thesis and doctoral dissertation in the area of clinical pharmacology and therapy with a grade “A” at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Montenegro.

 

After completing her internship for a medical doctor, she worked at the Institute for Emergency Medical Aid in Podgorica. In the period from 2006 to 2012, she worked at the Cardiology Center of the Clinical Center of Montenegro. She started working at the Institute for Medicines and Medical Devices of Montenegro in 2012 as the Head of the Department for Clinical Trials and Medicines Safety and Efficacy Assessment and from September 2021 to February 2022 she held the position of deputy managing director.

 

She is an assistant professor at the Faculty of Medicine in Podgorica for pharmacological group of subjects and a a lecturer at the Clinical Research Associate Academy (CRA) in Belgrade.
