LL.M. Mira Kontić is a Deputy Managing Director at the Institute for Medicines and Medical Devices of Montenegro (CInMED).

She was born in Nikšić where she completed elementary and high school. She graduated from the Faculty of Law of the University of Belgrade where she achieved her master’s degree in the field of International Law and European integration, as well as International Relations and Diplomatic and Consular Law. 

She has been the Deputy Managing Director since March 2022, while for the previous 6 months she was an Acting Managing Director. She started working at the Institute in 2020 as an Expert associate in the general manager’s office for European integration and International Cooperation. She gained previous work experience in the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Serbia in regulatory affairs in the field of medicines and medical devices, health insurance and healthcare, biomedicine, patients’ rights protection and conducting negotiations for EU accession, as well as in the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Agriculture in legislative and European integration affairs.

She is a representative of Montenegro in several negotiating working groups for EU accession in areas of importance for medicines and medical devices, as well as in other European and international organizations and working bodies of importance for the pharmaceutical market.

She is fluent in English and Russian and has a basic knowledge of Spanish and Italian language.
