PharmD, PhD Tijana Mićović is the head of the Department for Issuance of Import/Export Authorisation within Centre for Marketing and Safe use of Medicines at the Institute for Medicines and Medical Devices of Montenegro (CInMED).

She was born in Nikšić where she completed elementary and high school. She graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy in Podgorica in 2014 as the winner of the highest state award for graduating students – University of Montenegro Plaque for the best graduating student in Montenegro in the field of technical, natural sciences and mathematics and medical sciences for academic year 2014/15. During her studies she received numerous awards for achieved results (University of Montenegro award for the valedictorian of the Faculty of Pharmacy, 2011; Atlas scholarship for the best student of the Faculty of Pharmacy, 2014; Student award “18 Septembar ” of the Municipality of Nikšić for the best student of the Faculty of Pharmacy, 2014; scholarships from the Ministry of Education and Science). After completing her studies in 2014, she has been continuously engaged as a teaching assistant at the Faculty of Medicine in Podgorica. She defended her doctoral dissertation entitled “Pharmacognostic studies of the hyssop herb, Hyssopus officinalis L. (Lamiaceae) from Montenegro and Serbia” in 2022 at the Faculty of Medicine in Podgorica (doctoral study program Pharmacy, scientific field – Pharmacognosy). She is the author and co-author of numerous scientific papers in the country and abroad.

She has been holding the position of the head of the Department for Issuance of Import/Export Authorisations since April 2022 and started working at the Institute in 2015 as an expert associate and then as a coordinator for issuance of marketing authorization for medicines.

She is fluent in English.
